Is it bees?

The signs Melbourne homes call us about

Searching for bee removal near me, a bee exterminator near me or a bee removal service near me? We are a local bee removal team based in Bulleen, and bee pest control near me is exactly what we do across the whole metro area. If two or more of these sound familiar, bees have moved in near you.

  • Bees flying in and out of one gapA steady line of bees at a gap in a wall, eave or roof means a colony has moved in behind it.
  • A hum in the wall or ceilingYou can often hear a colony before you see it, especially on a warm afternoon.
  • A swarm hanging on a branch or fenceA cluster the size of a football. It is looking for a home, and your wall is on the list.
  • Honey stains or a sweet, waxy smellDark stains on a ceiling or wall point to comb and honey inside the cavity.
  • More bees every warm dayA new colony grows fast in spring and summer, and so does the comb inside.

Why it should not wait

A bee problem gets bigger every week

This is what we see when bees are left for a season, or sealed in.

A swarm moves into your wall

A swarm on a branch is looking for a home. Within hours to a couple of days it can be inside a wall or roof.

Comb and honey build up

An established colony fills the cavity with comb and honey. The longer it stays, the more there is to cut out.

Stains and smells if sealed in

Seal the gap with the bees inside and the colony dies, the honey melts and it seeps through the plaster.

Stings near doors and play areas

Bees defend a hive. Near a door, a path or where the kids play, that means stings, and a real risk for anyone allergic.

How it works

Four steps, and you know each one before it happens

No guesswork and no surprises. You get the price first and the paperwork at the end.

1

Tell us where the bees are

Call or send the form with your suburb, where the bees are and how long they have been there.

2

Your price on the phone

We give you the price and a time before anything is booked. Book it for today and 10% comes off.

3

The colony treated

A licensed technician treats the colony. Swarms are treated as urgent.

4

Hive out, gap sealed

Once the bees are no longer active, the comb and honey come out, the cavity is cleaned and sealed, and your warranty is agreed in writing.

  • The cavity cleaned so the scent does not draw the next swarm
  • The entry point sealed once the bees are gone
  • A written record of what we did and the products we used
  • A warranty period agreed in writing, with a free return visit inside it

What does bee removal cost?

Every bee job is different, so we price yours on the phone before we book. This is what moves the price, so you know what to expect before you call.

Swarm or hiveA swarm hanging in the open is the smallest job. A hive with comb inside a wall takes longer.
Where the bees areA fence or a low branch is quicker than a wall cavity, a roof void or a chimney.
Height and accessSingle or double storey, and how much has to be opened to reach the comb.
How long it has been thereA colony that has been there a season has more comb and honey to cut out.
Sealing the gapThe gap is sealed once the bees are gone. Anything bigger than a small gap is priced with the job, before we start.

Your price, before we book

Given on the phone with no obligation, before anything is booked.

  • 10% off when we come the same day
  • Comb, honey and sealing are part of a hive job
  • Warranty in writing on every job

A can of spray or proper removal?

Why a local bee removal job beats a can of spray

Hardware store bee spray is the first thing most people try. It kills the bees it touches, but the colony, the comb and the honey stay where they are.

Bees or wasps?

Not sure if it is bees or wasps?

They are different jobs, so it helps to know. Honey bees are fuzzy and golden brown and build wax comb. European wasps are smooth, bright yellow and black, and build a grey paper nest. We remove both.

Questions

Bee removal near me questions

How soon can you get to me?

We are based in Bulleen and cover the whole metro area, plus Geelong and the Mornington Peninsula, 7 days a week. Swarms are treated as urgent. Tell us your suburb and we give you a time and a price on the call. Same day bookings get 10% off.

I searched for a bee catcher near me. Is that you?

If you want the bees gone, yes. We treat and remove the colony and seal the gap. We do not catch bees to keep them alive, so if that is what you need, a local beekeeping club is the right call and we will tell you so.

Can you come today?

Most days, yes. Swarms are treated as urgent, and if you call in the morning there is a good chance we can be there that afternoon. If we cannot make it today we tell you on the call and give you the earliest time.

Why can I not just seal the hole?

Because the colony dies inside and the honey melts. It runs down the cavity, stains the plaster, smells, and draws ants and the next swarm. The comb has to come out, and that is the part we do.

Is the treatment safe for my kids and pets?

We ask who is at home before we treat, apply products according to the label, and tell you if anyone should keep away from an area for a while. You get a written record of what was used.

What should I do until you arrive?

Keep children and pets away, leave the bees alone, and do not spray or block the entrance. A disturbed colony is harder and slower to treat.

Do you do commercial bee control?

Yes. Schools, childcare centres, cafes, warehouses and strata common property. Tell us about the site on the call and we plan the job around it.
